Making Punishment More Fair

In todays "Cedar Rapids Gazette" was a very interesting article, "Making Punishment More Fair." The article was informative but incorrect in some areas. To begin with, it was'nt our wonderful Congress that changed the disparity between crack and cocaine, it was the United States Sentencing Commission, (USSC). The sentencing commission amended the 100 - 1 ratio in the sentencing under the United States Sentencing Guidelines (USSG) under Amendment 9 of the guidelines to a more reasonable 20 - 1. The amendment was passed in December 2007 and went into effect on March 3, 2008 and it is retroactive which means that it applies to all most all crack cocaine offenders doing time in federal prison. Attorneys who defended crack cocaine offenders are not obligated to prepare petitions and pleadings for defendants. However, many will. There are non-attorneys who can be found on the internet who prepare petitions and pleadings of this kind and others who are very good at what they do. One such non-attorney is www.duranceconsultantspcc.com. The guy has paid his dues by having spent many many years in prison working in the prison law library. He's very good at what he does and his rates are very
reasonable. He's honest and fair. Check him out.

Study and analyze criminal convictions.

Are you going to prison? Did you get a fair trial? Did you have an effective attorney? Are you satisfied with your 20 year sentence? Yes and No, No, No. I'll bet those are your answers. I study current laws, Supreme Court Rulings and precedent and controlling case law. I analyze your case and prepare pleadings for you that are effective and can get you relief. I specialize in Post Conviction Remedies, Appeals and Habeas Corpus Actions. I consult with clients on civil rights issues and suits. Unfortunately prison is a cold reality for some in this age of the legal matrix. I have 30+ years first hand experience and can help you help yourself. I am not an attorney and do not work with them. I am a legal scholar and scrivner who investigates your circumstances and prepares legal pleadings best suited to gain you relief from disporportionate sentencing. I am versed in the recent change in the "crack" law and can prepare the proper pleading to get you a sentence reduction under the sentecing commissions Amendment 9. Visit my web-sites at www.duranceconsultantspcc.com, www.pitbullexpress.net, www.gazhi-gan.com or my other blog, http://whentherabbitsgotthegun.blogspot.com. Have a great day.

Only in America..,...Right???

Hey folks, I'm recently released from federal prison. While an inmate within the federal gulag I worked as the head law clerk in several prisons. I consulted in many cases that were ultimately retried or returned to the sentencing court for resentencing, usually with a favorable end result.
I'm trying to make a living as a "Consultant" I started "Durance Consultants PCC" with the intention of helping inmates and people who were on their way to prison. At the risk of tooting my own horn I can honestly say that I'm damn good at what I do. I can not and do not give legal advise. I am not an attorney nor would I ever confess to being one if I were. Attorneys are "officers of the court" and as such are only obligated to "protecting" what's left of your Constitutional Rights. They don't care about you and are not going to fight for you. There is no such thing as a "good attorney". Remember, they are ALL "officers of the court." I, on the other hand, will give you honest sincere consultation in directing you to the most helpful avenue(s). I study the most common cases and draft forms that, if utilized properly, will bring you results. I have been effective in the past and will strive to be effective in the future. Apply to all blogs.
